Festival of Versailles May 31st to July 7th

The Versailles Festival returns for the third time bringing operas, ballets, and open air concerts to the Chateau de Versailles. This year is also the 400th anniversary of the birth of André Le Notre, the famous French ladscape decorator and the gardener of King Louis the fourteenth. He designed the Chateau de Versailles gardens, as well as Chantilly, Fontainebleau. The program therfore includes concerts and opera around the castle and its beautiful gardens. In addition to the fountain night show that you can enjoy from June 14th to September 14th, there will be a Masked ball in the Orangerie designed by Kamel Ouali, contemporary art by Giuseppe Penone, prestigious concerts in the finest rooms of the Palace, and a horse show and fireworks display inspired by the royal carousels of the Golden Age.
