Fete de la Musique Paris June 21st
If you love music then, June 21st is your day. On the summer soltice day, Paris will be celebrating its 36th Fete de la Musique. Big free concerts will be happening all over the city all day and all night. Streets, inner courtyard, museums, gardens, restaurants, bars, churches will become temporary concert spaces for young emerging artists and well known artists.
Here are some examples:
EGLISE SAINTE EUSTACHE
36 Hour festival starting on June 20th with pop, rock and electronic artists interpreting liturgical works
ESPLANADE DES INVALIDES
Boréales Nights Six canadian artists and musical ensembles invite the public to explore the different musical worlds of Quebec, Ontario, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.
MUSEE EUGENE DELACROIX
Baroque Free entance to the museum starting 7pm with 45-minute baroque music performances given by the ensemble ‘Les Jupons de la Marquises ‘.
PALAIS ROYAL
Four events:
- 2 to 3 pm: two concerts of young amateur musicians
- 4 to 5 pm: two young artists discovered within the framework of the musical platform RIFFX
- 6 to 7 pm: a participative project around the karaoke
- 8 to 11pm: a big concert with international artists
ORSAY MUSEUM
The Orchestra of the Garde Republicaine starting at 8:30pm
PLACE FURSTENBERG
Sing the World, The Glotte-Trotters from 6:30pm to midnight
MUSEE ZADKINE
Cascad, with Daniel Savoyaud (trombone jazz, rock) and Serge Marne (drummer who worked with Miles Davis) from 6pm to 9pm
