Theater: "Atomised" at the Theatre de l'Odeon from September 12th to October 1st

Les Particules Elementaires "Atomised" by Michel Houllebecq
Directed by Julien Gosselin
From September 12th to October 1st
Theatre de l'Odeon

Atomised also known as The Elementary Particles is a novel written by French writer Michel Houllebecq published in 1998. It tells the story of two half brothers, Michel and Bruno, and their mental struggles against their situations in modern society. The staging mixes live music as well as videos and ten actors.  The thread of this critical enquiry into the contradictions and torments of individualism at the close of XXth century individualism is the destiny of two half-brothers: Bruno, the sexually obsessed literary type and Michel, the deeply inhibited scientist. Their lives are studied from all angles: psychological, sociological, historical, and, of course, erotic.
