A phantom 1940's apartment in Paris
You are invited to enter Magdelena's apartment for dinner. Who is Magdelena? As you enter this 1940's style apartment, it is up to you to create her story.
Catherine Jarrier et Lisa Ternon are two set designers who create decors, like the apartment of Magdelena Woll, for the movie industry. Those two designer decided to start this great project: "Vu de l'interieur" ("Seen from inside") and show the public their creations and share this unique experience. The first installment (of what we hope will be a series of installations) is at Galerie 28 in the 9th arrondissement in Paris.
Until february 8th, when night falls, lights turn on at 28 rue Pétrelle. From outside, you can see some furniture and a decor leading you to think it is a real apartment. A business card hangs on the entrance door: "Please ring the bell, Magdelena Woll welcomes you between 4pm and 8pm". You open the door, the apartment is empty and feels like it was left hastily. Some food is still on the table... The Galerie 28 offers a very intimate, poetic, and playful installation that brings us back in the past.
Note that if you like some of the objects or furniture that you see, you can buy them!
