After New York, London, Milan, it is Paris' turn to live on the rhythm of fall/winter 2014/2015 fashion week. Fashion week in Paris runs from February 25th to Wenesday March 5th. Dior, Saint Laurent, Chanel, Balmain, Balenciaga but also Lanvin, Jean Paul Gaultier, Haider Ackermann, Anthony Vaccarello, Jacquemus...over 10 défilés per day for 9 days and as many presentations in showrooms!
The big event of the week is on Wednesday when Nicolas Ghesquière will be presenting his first collection with Louis Vuitton. New to the schedule this season is Alessandro Dell'Acqua who will showcase his first collection for Rochas since being made creative director in September 2013.
The shows will give us the trends for next years autumn and winter. Will we see the comeback of fur, the big star of New York, London, and Milan?
Fashion week will also be the opening of two beautiful exhibitions. Palais Galliera will host "Papier glacé: A century of fashion photography at Condé Nast." The exhibition Papier glacé draws on the archives of Condé Nast New York, Paris, Milan and London, bringing together some 150 mostly original prints from leading fashion photographers from 1918 through to the present day. The musée des Arts Décoratifs will feature the works of Dries Van Noten. It is the first exhibition dedicated to the designer.
